For the fountain style they will usually not run very high, and will normally come from the center of the basin to permit the water to stay inside.
Water Bell Fountains:
- this type of feature creates what seems like a single wide jet of water that come up from the middle of the fountain, and fall outwards into a bell shape made from the water. It really has a pretty cool effect, and are quite familiar in malls and shopping centres. However, they do make smaller ones intended for the backyard garden
Domed Water Fountains:
- this kind of fountain is a lot like the bell fountain, except that it uses numerous different jets of water coming from the middle of the fountain and shoot upwards and outwards making a dome effect with multiple jets of water. Almost similar to a domed cage if you will.
So there you have it, 4 different kinds of water jets coming from your backyard fountains. Which one is for you? Clearly, only you can really decide that. It really all is dependent upon what you will take pleasure in looking at while you are in your backyard. Or even the style you want your garden to take on. The list can go on and on. But in the long run, it is totally up to you to decide.
